ABOUT CLOUT GRAFFITI MAGAZINE

Covering the graffiti scene in America, CLOUT GRAFFITI MAGAZINE is one of the few magazines currently in print today in the U.S. dedicated to this often overlooked subculture. Not only is this publication a platform on which to showcase the work of graffiti writers from coast to coast through full color photos but also serves a historical purpose by preserving the art through print. Each issue is packed with graffiti on freights: end to ends, panels and wholecars on all types of rolling stock, and filled with pieces and productions under bridges, in pits, and on walls as well as savage bombing from graffiti's heavy hitters. With in-depth interviews, CGM provides readers with a more personal look at those who have been putting in work over the years. CGM started off as a strictly graffiti art magazine but beginning with the third issue, has expanded its content to include aspects of the lifestyle with the addition of underground hip-hop and rap artist interviews and album reviews as well as with street art and visual art features. While doing so, it has opened up CGM to a wider readership base.

Although new to the publishing game, CGM has been able to reach its audience on a nationwide scale through the Internet and through distributorship with a major chain, Tower Records, with just the first issue. CGM can also be found in hip-hop shops and boutiques, independent record shops, newsstands and online stores from coast to coast, in Canada and overseas in Australia, Greece, Japan, Germany, Poland and the United Kingdom, as well as in select Towers in various countries. Clout also distributes other titles of graffiti magazines along with its own, supplying independent stores with new and back issues of American and European graffiti magazines while at the same time supporting magazines here in the States and helping publications overseas reaching an American audience.
